Summary

Aerial photographs taken in 1946 show a mound with an associated ditch at this location. A site visit in 1974 recorded the dimensions of the mound but failed to locate a ditch, although a watercourse was noted. A subsequent visit in 1997 did discover the ditch and found that the site had thankfully been free of agricultural ploughing.
