Map

Possible moat at Dickleburgh House.
(S1) depicts as apparent south side, west side and part of north. (S2) prepared for bypass route shows only west and northwest sides, with traces of stubs as if of south arm on both sides of west arm. [1] reports apparent platform on 'interior' (to northeast) and traces of bricks and thinks does appear to be a moat.
E. Rose (NAU), 19 February 1987.

West and northwest arms of moat still survive, water filled, some 2 to 2.5m wide maximum.
H. Paterson (A&E), 14 February 1997.
