Summary

Post-medieval enclosure earthworks surveyed in 1997. Late medieval pottery found in the area suggests the earthworks surrounded an area of settlement.

Doubts as to `village earthwork' status. Enclosure boundaries, probably mostly of post-medieval origin as the most likely explanation.
