Socketed bronze sickle with conical socket heeled. Tip of blade broken - rivet hole in socket. Length 9cm (3 7/8 inches) maximum height 5cm (2 inches).
Variety of provenances given - CANCM no.300 says labelled 'Ireland'.
(S1) says 'Norfolk'.
(S2) includes a watercolour by C.J. Winter, 1849. Then in Plowright's Collection, says Swaffham.
Bulwer Collection drawings says Bressingham.
Rolfe's drawing in Fitch Collection NCM depicts same object then in Brooke Taylor Collection and labels as from Southacre.
