Summary

In 1934 a prehistoric flint flake was found in cliff clay at this location (the site of Manor House, now lost to the sea). It was recorded as potentially Upper Palaeolithic, although this identification has not been confirmed.

1934. Stray Find
Found at Manor House in cliff clay about 5' [1.5m] above OD (probably in chalky Jurassic Boulder Clay):
1 ?Upper Palaeolithic ochreous flint flake. Donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1954.220). Information from (S1). Not listed in any other relevant source so identification as Palaeolithic should probably be treated with caution. Manor house has now been lost to the sea
