Pre April 1897. Stray Find.
Found in Egmere (a former parish at the western end of what is now Walsingham parish):
1 Neolithic flint implement. Donated to the Norwich Castle Museum by Colonel Feilden (NWHCM : 1897.21.3). As noted by (S1) this object was almost certainly the reason that Egmere was listed by W. G. Clarke in (S2) as a location that had produced "Boulder Clay Type" implements (reference being made to the Norwich Castle Museum).

This object was examined by R. Jacobi and is recorded in (S3) as an adze/axe. Its inclusion in (S3) suggests it may be Mesolithic, although no description was recorded.
Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 8 August 2014.
