Found in garden.
Gold ring of about 1570 to 1590 with black, blue and green enamelling. Dating based on costume. Scroll-work of ends of hoop and flat, thin bezel paralleled by rings of late 16th century. Compare with 814 British Museum Ring Catalogue. Forerunner of portrait rings of 17th century.
