Various prehistoric flints collected by F. N. Haward at Barn Breck in the early 20th century and subsequently donated to the Institute of Archaeology in London.

In 1974 the Institute of Archaeology transferred a selection of the Neolithic worked flints from this site to the Norwich Castle Museum. These include many waste flakes and circular scrapers (NWHCM : 1974.558.9 : A). Information from (S1).

The material retained by the Institute of Archaeology was examined by F. Healy, who listed the following implements in (S2):
1 Early Neolithic flint laurel leaf and 3 laurel leaf roughouts.
1 Neolithic denticulated flake, 1 "notch", 1 long-pointed awl, 2 long-pointed piercers, 1 flaked axe and 1 flaked adze.
4 Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age tanged arrowheads.

This collection was includes a single Late Upper Palaeolithic two-opposed platform long blade core. This core was identified by R. Jacobi and is described in (S3) and also listed in (S4). Barn Breck is close to (or within) the area from which H. H. Halls recovered a large number of prehistoric flint objects in the early 20th century (Halls Site 16; NWHCM : 1924.83.16 : A; NHER 4952) and 3 similar long blade cores were also identified within this collection.
