Summary

A Neolithic polished axehead and a flint 'spearhead' were found here. Fieldwalking as part of the Fenland Survey found a concentration of prehistoric worked and burnt flint and some bone.

Chipped and polished flint axe with some cortex. About 19cm (7 1/2 inches) long, butt 5cm (2 inches) wide, cutting
edge 7.5cm (3 inches).

Concentration of flints sparse to moderate, pot boilers the same. Bone very sparse. Scattered along ridge with dense concentration in centre of long axis, petering out at both ends. Maximum 65m east to west x 43m north to south. FWL58.
