Summary

In 1976 a Neolithic polished axehead was recovered from this site in association with some modern refuse, which may indicate that it was redeposited from elsewhere.

1976. Stray Find.
Found on surface in Dogkennel Wood, after trees blown down:
1 Neolithic cutting edge end of polished flint axe, 9.3cm long, 6.1cm wide. See drawing (S1). Donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1976.309).
Found with much 19th/20th century scrap metal and bottles - redeposited?
