Summary

A Beaker period pot was recovered here in the 1960s. Fieldwalking found pieces of Roman, medieval and post medieval pottery. A watching brief recorded no archaeological features or finds. A small amount of worked prehistoric flints were recovered.

Full Description

Late 1960s. Found on commune - circumstances unknown.
Context 1 at 1409 307 (NCM record - material brought to NCM 1976).
Barbed wire beaker, small. Associations unknown.

Early 1991. Fieldwalking. Context 2. Finder's site M38.
Roman, medieval, post medieval sherds.
Identified by A. Rogerson (NLA).

2000. Watching Brief.
No features or deposits of archaeological interest were observed, although a small quantity of worked prehistoric flint was recovered from unstratified deposits.
