Palaeolithic or Mesolithic tools, including flakes, scrapers, points and cores, were reported to have been found in a section of cliff in 1938.

1938. 'From the cliff section at Old Hunstanton'.
Flakes, scrapers, points, cores etc. 'Of Mousterian (Levalloisian) and Upper Aurignacian types, and burins of Mid Aurignacian type'.
These are probably all Mesolithic (Mesolithic flints often called Aurignacian in 19th century to early 20th century).
