ALL CROPMARKS ARE NOW RECORDED SEPARATELY. See May 2007 below.

1975.
Ring ditch north of field boundary with track passing it on northwest.
Checked by E. Rose (NAU), 19 October 1976.

1980.
Area extended; several linear parallel cropmarks.
The track (two parallel lines) on 1975 air photographs does not appear on 1980 air photographs and should not be confused with the natural feature running northwest.
E. Rose (NAU), 14 July 1982.

Photographs (S1) U and V however show another track running north to south to the east of the ring ditch, and yet another running east to west to its south, and turning a right angle for a short distance into the next field.
E. Rose (NAU), 20 August 1982.

February 1998. Metal detecting.
One medieval coin. See list in file.

April to May 1998. Metal detecting.
Medieval copper alloy brooch in the figure of a standing person with one hand raised and the other holding a book. Traces of red and blue enamel survive, decaying to yellow. The enamel is glass like. John Cherry (British Museum) says he thinks it is medieval (14th or 15th century), but that is doesn't appear to be a typical pilgrim's badge. (S2). See description in file.
A. Rogerson (NLA), 14 July 1999.

May 2007. Norfolk NMP
