Summary

A ring ditch of unknown date is visible as a cropmark on aerial photograph. The origin of the feature is unknown, and it is possible that it is not an archaeological feature.

Map

On common under 'b' of Mulbarton town name on (S1).
Circular mark, with small circle in centre and loop in outer rim as if made by a revolving object that has not kept to the same course. Almost certainly not a ring ditch.

Ring clearly visible on common, approximately 95m across, paler and longer grass and softer earth, slightly depressed - all refer to circumference only.

The feature described above is visible on aerial photographs (S3-S6). However, it was not thought to be archaeological in origin. It does not appear on World War Two images of the area (S7), and is therefore thought to be natural or modern in origin.
