Summary

Fieldwalking, molehill survey and metal detecting has recovered over ten Roman coins, medieval pottery and a variety of Roman, medieval and post medieval metal finds from this site. The earthworks at this site are recorded as NHER 26984 and NHER 27817. Together the finds and earthworks may suggest this area may have been used as a stock enclosure but this is not clear. The medieval finds may be related to the possible medieval moat site recorded as NHER 26984.
