Full Description
Cropmark of a linear feature forming a curving corner with to its west a small faint enclosure. See Notes.
Checked by E. Rose (NAU) 1 November 1976.
Before 1977. Neolithic flint arrowhead.
See (S2).
28 January 2000. Metal detecting.
Late Saxon harness pendant mount.
Medieval, post medieval and undated metal finds.
2 Roman, 4 medieval and 6 post medieval coins.
See lists in file.
A. Rogerson (NLA) 15 November 2000.
29 July 1996. NLA air photography.
Further rectilinear enclosures and linear features are visible as cropmarks, including a trackway indicated by 2 parallel linears. It seems likely that these enclosures and linears form (or are part of) a field system.
There also appears to be the outline of a rectangular building, showing as parchmarks, towards the southern extent of the site.
H. Clare (NLA), 27 April 2001.
January/February 2007. Metal detecting.
Neolithic scraper or knife.
One Middle Saxon and one Late Saxon sherd.
Medieval or post medieval belt or harness mount.
See list in file.
A. Rogerson (NLA), 13 March 2007.
