Summary

The site of a possible medieval moated site, marked on the Ordnance Survey map. Saxon and medieval pottery fragments were recovered from a molehill on the site in 1976.

1976. In northeast corner of field, under 'ws' of 'St Andrew's' on (S1).
Small rectangular ditched enclosure. Moat? But note it is surrounded by cropmarks of extinct drainage ditches.

July 1976. Found in a molehill on the site of this cropmark in pasture.
Middle Saxon Ipswich Ware, Late Saxon Thetford Ware and medieval sherds.
Identified by P.Wade Martin and A.Rogerson (NAU).
