This was the joint hall of the guilds of St Nicholas and Corpus Christi, who maintained the chapel (site NHER 12056).

(S4) states it was demolished in 1846.

In (S5), published in 1849, it is noted that the Guildhall had "…now been totally swept away", which would be consistent with the building having been demolished in 1846. At this time it was thought that the Guildhall "…might [have been] as old as the reign of Henry VII...", although "…successive repairs had been allowed to obliterate almost every trace of its ancient appearance". The only proof of its antiquity was apparently "... a massive oak post [that] remained at the south-west corner…" with engraved panels (illustrated). A series of documentary references area described, the oldest of which dates to 1584.
