January 1973. Building survey.
Two-storey brick house with Welsh slate roof. There is a shelly limestone slab at the top of the now-rebuilt west gable inscribed 1693, which may be the date of the house, or may be a little later.
The walls are of red brick in Flemish bond. The gables are parapetted and retain tumbling at their bases but have been rebuilt higher up. The roof is now Welsh slate and the stack has been rebuilt, retaining original red brick, above the ridge of the roof. The property has been subdivided, with the western part now derelict.
The date of the doorway linking this house to the adjacent school (NHER 63497) is not known. It has been blocked.
See (S2) for further information, floor plan and photographs.
