Full Description
1969. Listed Grade II as John Lee Bennett's Warehouses.
Maltings and warehouse with datestone on north wall which reads 'Elijah Eyre & Co., 1868'.
Four distinct elements:
East end: Two storeys in three bays, hipped roof, 20th century casement windows.
Next west: former malthouse, two storeys in three bays with 20th century casements.
Next west: warehouse block, three storeys in six bays, basement entered through three narrow and one tall loading doors.
West end: Irregular and whitewashed, three storeys with three groups of former loading doors.
Dated 1868, four storey building with drying kiln attached.
Partly restored as offices, partly to become flats.
1976. Building Survey.
Norfolk Archaeological Research Group building survey 1976. This notes that the white painted westernmost part of this building is in use as office accommodation, and that planning permission has been granted to convert the remainder of the building into 18 flats.

Newspaper cutting (S3) reports completion of an 18-month project overseen by the Borough Council to convert the maltings into 12 one-bed flats and six bedsits.
