'Earthworks' claimed on St. Joseph's air photographs list at this very approximate grid reference.

10 May 1980. Ordnance Survey air photography.
Grid reference confirmed.
Soilmarks. Circular and linear light bands of soil. Doubtful archaeological significance - possibly natural/geological.
D. Edwards (NAU), 2 April 1981.

Cambridge University Committee for Aerial Photograph air photograph, copy NAU.
Earthworks shown are same as soilmarks on Ordnance Survey air photograph before destruction. They seem very odd; perhaps old river channels?
D. Gurney (NAU), D. Edwards (NAU) and E. Rose (NAU) 31 July 1990.

September 2002.
Linear low earthworks in pasture field, have appearance of river channel. This confirmed by local resident who says River Mermaid was diverted to north perhaps to feed mill. Now flows north of field, then culverted under A140.
H. Paterson (A&E), 9 September 2002.
