This area marked as Ice House Hills on an old map, according to [1] who has searched for the icehouse, so far in vain.
There is a large pit here in which a wooden beam was found in recent years.

Woodland Archaeological Earthwork Rapid Identification Survey. Brickkiln Wood and Pinetum, Site 2:
North-south aligned pit, c. 70m long and up to 20m wide, extending to the south of the boundary track into the unnamed woodland. Probably the pit previously noted as the likely location of the ice house - NGR amended from previous TG 150 354.
