Map

Possible Tithe barn.
Building on south side Georgian rectory grounds, north of church across road.
Carrstone, with on south side traces of a blocked window edged in carrstone slabs: later 17th or 18th century brick edged slit windows with hoodmoulds, some now blocked, and in the same brick two pilasters, marking the site of the door?
Also 19th century brick quoins, window and roof.
Fair condition.
Visited E. Rose (NLA) 17 February 1977.

Called 'rectory stables' by Diocese but was this its original function?
Interior not seen.
In 2001 this building has a central cupola as would befit a stable; was this not there before?
Is it a recent replacement?
However, on balance, the structure is probably not a tithe barn.
E. Rose (NLA), 7 December 2001.
