Summary

A 17th century brick house. It is T-shaped, has two storeys and attics and the gables are ornately shaped with internal chimney stacks. The main façade has a freeze of ashlar blocks; these fragments probably came from the Priory of St Faith (NHER 8005).

17th century house, brick. Ornate shaped gables with central blocked window. Central internal stacks to gables - how does this affect blocked windows in south gable? Heavy Georgian porch. Good condition.

1983 listing (S1) adds T-shaped building. Main east façade is of two storeys and attics, three bays. Frieze of ashlar blocks. Rusticated brick quoins, central doorway. Large external southwest stack now cut off at eaves. Rear wing has central and gable stacks and wooden-cross windows. Limestone plinth also, now covered over.
The ashlar blocks are presumably reused from priory (NHER 8005).
Informant [1] states there is a fireplace made of reused stone, some of which retains traces of paint.
