Summary

Metal detecting at this site has recovered a range of metal objects including a large lump of slag, Roman metalwork and brooches and a medieval lead seal matrix. The matrix reads (S' VO* SCI : EDMUNDI : CAMERAM (I serve the chamber of St Edmund).

At depth of around 60cm (2 foot). Context 1 at grid reference.
Lump of iron tap slag, around 12.5cm (5 inches) long.

Area extended to include Roman metalwork and brooches.
