Summary

A two storey brick house of about 1700. Where its name comes from is not known, but may have something to do with the raised crosses in the brickwork on the upper floor. Modernised in the 1970s, it is now divided into two dwellings.

Brick house of about 1700; two storeys, five bays, window above door shortened. Raised crosses in brickwork on upper floor. Door with carved flat hood on large carved brackets. Metal plaque depicting King Edward.

March 1977. Visit.
Poor condition but being modernised.
Origin of name unknown, but has borne it for many years. Significance of crosses in brickwork?
