Full Description
January 1977. Listed, Grade II.
Listing Description excerpt:
"Pair of cottages, 17th century. Timber-frame, plastered, on brick base. Steep gable-ended pantile roof. Two storeys. First floor one window on right, ground floor two windows, all three are old three-light casements with leaded panes. Two single blank doors. Central brick chimney stack."

17th-century timber-framed and plastered house on a brick plinth. Two storeys. One window on upper floor and two on lower, all leaded casements. Central brick chimney. Modern weatherboarding on south gable.
Very poor condition. To be demolished?

Permission to demolish refused on grounds that it is a rare type of building owing to central chimney and plinth to roof beam supports.

The mapped location of this record has been corrected. Previously it was mapped as a point at TG 0254 0178, which placed it on an unrelated building (Nos 7 and 9 Hall Moor Road).
