'Cross' marked on Ordnance Survey.
2.1m (7 feet) high stone cross, set on carrstone base, inscribed 'MWBF' 'July 23 1840'.
Base slightly damaged.
Enclosed by iron railing and group of trees, it stands virtually in the old course of the Babingley River, which is almost invisible on the ground. Presumably a memorial set up on the inscribed date or soon after.
