Full Description
1977.
Burnt House Farm Bungalow.
Layer of flint observed in side of dyke on west edge of lawn. 5 to 10cm thick, at least 3m wide but plants obscured dimensions. Owner reports that it extends under all of the front lawn and prevented rotivating. It lines up with Roman road located by [1] (NHER 9816) and with road leaving Roman town at northeast corner, but no evidence on air photographs. As field is called Burnt House Field possibly a demolition layer of unknown date.
A. Gregory (NAU), 1977.
