Summary

In 1973, a 17th century earthenware bowl was discovered when ploughing the back garden of a house. It was glazed on the inside (but not the outside) and had handles. It is thought that Tudor cottages on the site were demolished when the current house was built in the 1930s.

1977. Found in ploughing back garden.
Handled bowl in lead-glazed earthenware, 17th century, internally
glazed, exterior unglazed. All surface bears stains and encrustations as if it has been used to contain paint.
Informant reports that Tudor cottages were demolished when house was built in 1930s.
