Summary

Around 1975 a Roman copper alloy antoninianus coin of the emperor Allectus, minted between AD 293 and AD 296, was recovered on the ploughed surface of the site just north of the railway.

Roman copper alloy coin. Antoninianus of Allectus (293-6) RIC type 79, see (S1). No trace of silvering, but little worn.
