Location

Civil Parish HEACHAM, WEST NORFOLK, NORFOLK

Map

12 June 1976.
Cropmark of dark ring with light centre, possibly a ring ditch but perhaps an infilled pit.

March 2002. Norfolk NMP.
Aerial photographs consulted during NMP mapping suggest that this site is not archaeological in origin. NLA obliques from 1976 (S1) reveal an 18m across ring ditch, with a negative response in the interior. Whilst this could indicate a ring ditch, OS aerial photographs from 1991(S2) suggest that this site is either an infilled pond or pit, or geological feature.
S. Massey (NMP), 13 March 2002.
