Former Independent Chapel of 1779. This was then used by a Baptist congregation and then in 1835 passed to the Congregational Home Missionary Society, and remained in the use of the Congregationalists until 1975. In 1894 a large gabled Sunday school wing was added, this covered most of the broad south west front and had large brick quoins at each end. The walls of the chapel are brick with a dentil eaves cornice. The hipped roof has dark glazed pantiles.
See (S1) for further details.
