Full Description
October 1977. In digging foundations for new house, mostly in 0.9m (3ft) length of west wall foundations, all close together.
Site is on west-facing slope with clear view over valley.
Early Roman sherds, at least twenty-one vessels including imitation butt-beaker, shouldered jars and fine ware bowls.
Some drawn NCM, (S1, S2 and S3) in the Illustration Library.
House is being built of modern brick, but with reused timbers from medieval and post medieval houses all over East Anglia.
