Full Description
This building is not the same as one of that name on OS which is now Crossingford Lodge.
1977. [1]
16th century timber framed house.
In restorations, around 8" (20cm) deep in rammed clay below tile floor, sherds of unglazed cooking pots, 13th to 14th century, and sherds of green glazed Transitional pot with external lid seating.

Owner also has list by Strangers Halls of several post medieval shoes found in building.
Exterior of house, with thatched dormer roof, gives no indication of any age presumably owing to modern refacing.
