Summary
In 1976 a number of Roman and Saxon pottery sherds were recovered from this area, as well as a possible Roman copper alloy ring, after deep ploughing.

1976. On surface after deep ploughing.
Roman sherds, large number, with Roman? bronze ring.
Middle Saxon Ipswich Ware, and Late Saxon Thetford-type Ware.
