Summary

An undated rectangular enclosure is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs that were taken in 1976. It is likely to be contemporary with the field boundaries depicted on the 2nd edition Ordnance survey map since it is aligned in exactly the same way.

W. Milligan (NCM) reports comment from unknown source that edges of cropmarks are still visible beyond the bypass which has been built across it.

The undated rectangular enclosure described above is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S2). It is likely to be contemporary with the field boundaries depicted on the 2nd edition Ordnance survey map since it is aligned in exactly the same way, and may relate to a smaller field boundary or possible stock enclosure. It measures approximately 37m by 17m internally and is centred on TM 0329 9450. The HER polygon has been altered slightly as a result of the NMP mapping
