Full Description
Small square enclosure cropmark, straight sided with rounded corners.
Near linear marks of old field boundaries?
Suggested as Roman signal station by D. Edwards (NAU)
Grid reference corrected 28 November 1980 by J. Bown (NAU).

This is a 'Thornham style' enclosure, see (S1). Similar enclosures have been excavated at Thornham (NHER 1308), Warham Burrows (NHER 1827) and Wighton (NHER 2072). These enclosures, along with at least five others, appear to be part of a coherent tradition of defensive planning in the Late Iron Age or Roman period.
