Summary

A raised causeway at the end of a track, marked on a map of 1797 as crossing a lake. Today, portions of it have shrunk, and the north part now ends in a modern concrete bridge.

Map

Causeway, about 1.5m to 1.8m (5 to 6 feet) high and 3m (10 feet) wide, forming end of track. This has been here at least since 1790 as it is marked on Faden (S1) as crossing the centre of the lake.

The portion of this to the east is now woodland and that to the west has shrunk.
Now causeway ends at north in modern concrete bridge and degenerates to a path.
