Summary

This brick built house dates to the 17th and/or 18th century. It is two storeys tall, has three dormers and is roofed with pantiles.

Listing Description:
C18 house built of red brick and pantiles. The east wing gable has date 1745. Two storeys and attics. Parapetted gables, and gable chimney stacks. Brick tumbling- courses and moulded brick stringcourse at eaves and first floor level. C20 casements in original openings. East wing, one-storey and attic. Parapet gable with brick tumbling and gable chimneystack. Three pedimented dormers in main block, with one gabled dormer in east wing.

January 1978. House in Church Lane. Visit.
Good late 17th century brick; five bays two storeys plus three dormers, central one segmented. Wing at rear occupies space of two bays. South gable wall has string courses at level of floors, and small gable window.

However (S1) 1983, naming building as The Manse, states it is 18th century, the east wing gable dated 1745. Pantile roof.
It may be that this wing is later than the main block, but there is some stylistic overlap at this time in Norfolk.
