Map

Hall. 16th century and later. Contains staircase of 1693, signed by Marot, made from timbers of HMS Britannia, formerly in Russel House, Covent Garden, London, acquired in 1943.
Information from NCM Bolingbroke Collection.

31 January 1979. Visit by E. Rose (NAU).
The exterior in fact, as far as can be seen, is all Victorian Jacobethan, with spindly chimneys, stepped gables, finials etc. Outbuildings the same, though one cottage against road to south may have some original brickwork. Staircase still there. Now a country club.
Informant confirms that the small cottage by the road is shown on 17th century maps, but only a small building on site of present hall.
E. Rose (NAU) 8 August 1985.
