Is this the same as the mould for pilgrim badges mentioned in guidebook to St Peter Hungate museum 1975?
E. Rose (NAU), 30 November 1987.

No, W. Milligan (NCM) says the mould from the well at the Anglican Shrine (NHER 2035) is the only one in Hungate and must be the one meant even though it is NCM loan 1976.27 and the guidebook is dated 1975.
E. Rose (NAU), 30 November 1987.

E. B. Green (NCM) corrects this and says an older find by Fitch is in the museum, which must be the one here described as the other finds in the 1975 guide are largely Fitch Collection.
E. Rose (NAU), 7 December 1987.
