FINDS IN MUSEUM COLLECTION

?Pre 1968. Stray Find.
The Cambridge University Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology (CUMAA) holds a number of prehistoric worked flints that were collected in the Ringstead area by H. le Strange, mostly prior to 1968. Although the majority of these finds can be associated with particular sites, one exception is a Mesolithic flint microburin. This piece is recorded simply as having been found in the Ringstead area and is described in the records of R. Jacobi (S1) as a "Class 3a, patinated white and with Fe on arretes". It is unclear why this piece was not listed in (S2).
P. Watkins (HES), 22 December 2013.
