Full Description
Around 1967. Stray Find.
Found "3 feet deep on building site north side New Sporle Road opposite and beyond hospital":
1 Mesolithic tranchet axe. Donated to King's Lynn Museum (KILLM : 1967.84). Information from (S1).
This object is described in (S2), which also confirms the museum accession number. As noted on (S3) there may be some confusion regarding the provenance of this find as the hospital is on north side road, and a new estate is 'opposite and beyond' on the south side.
Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 3 June 2013.
