Full Description
March-April 1977. Stray Find.
Found on ploughed surface (area centred TG 2280 0224; Context 1):
Neolithic flint flakes. Donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1978.96).

March-April 1993. Systematic Fieldwalking Survey. Site extended.
Evaluation of proposed golf course. Fieldwalking survey of whole field (Contexts 2-22):
20 undatable prehistoric flint flakes, 1 flake from blade core, 1 utilised flake, 1 axe preparation flake, 4 retouched flakes, 2 notched flakes, 1 end scraper, 1 blade core fragment, 1 hammerstone and 1 scraper.
1 Mesolithic flint punch/axe and 1 blade tip.
1 Neolithic notched flint flake, 1 blade core and 1 ?knife.
3 Roman pottery sherds (greyware).
1 Roman or medieval lava quern fragment.
1 Middle Saxon pottery sherd (Ipswich ware).
2 medieval pottery sherds (glazed Grimston, LMU).
4 medieval/post-medieval pottery sherds (LMT).
3 post-medieval pottery sherds (Glazed Red Earthenware, Cologne-Frechen Stoneware, salt-glazed stoneware).
