Shown on etching 'Bure Bridge, Aylsham' (previously wrongly called Burgh Bridge) 1827 by E.T. Daniell - reproduced in (S2). Building was the former Anchor Inn.
E. Rose (NAU), 6 July 1984.

In fact the bricks of the façade have horizontal skintlings, a technique that does not appear until the 1770s; thus showing again the late survival of shaped gables. The interiors, only glimpsed, have ornate plaster door surrounds etc.
