A Second World War pillbox (see above) can be seen as a structure on 1940s aerial photographs (S2-S5). The pillbox is visible on the 2006 aerial photographs (S4) and most likely survives as structure under an area of vegetation seen on recent (2020) aerial photographs (S5). The pillbox has been previously suggested (see above) to relate to a Type 24 pillbox from around 1940. The pillbox is in close relation to the site of a roadblock to the north and a further pillbox to the east (NHER 13478)
