Summary

Earthwork boundary bank and ditches, an area of probable ridge and furrow and possible house platforms, of a likely medieval to post medieval date, have been recorded from field visits and visible on visualised lidar data from a survey flown in 2021. The features are likely associated with an area medieval to post medieval settlement and agriculture. Medieval pottery has also been recovered from the site.

Possible earthworks noted by [1] and stoneware and medieval coarse and glazed pottery found in molehill.

Earthworks resemble slight house platforms, but a winding ditch amongst them makes writer think they may well be just drainage.

September 2005.
Slight earthworks visible in pasture field, with many nettle patches. Winding ditch mentioned in 1978 not visible. Owner recalls 'dtich' being filled in by Council, and drain inserted a few years ago.

Boundary banks and ditches and an area of probable ridge and furrow are visible on as low earthworks on visualised lidar data from a survey flown in 2021 (S3). The features are likely associated with an area of medieval to post medieval settlement and agriculture. The area of probable ridge and furrow is centred at approximately TG 0592 0233.
