NHER 13566
January 2006. Norfolk NMP.
The generator house and crew shelter associated with this dummy airfield is located approximately 1.5km to the east to the north of Wood Lane, Kelling (NHER 16023). Cables ran along the hedges and under the coast road towards the decoy. The only possible evidence for this dummy airfield visible on the aerial photographs is a straight line of disturbance in the heathland vegetation running from TG 0721 4245 to TG 0711 4214 (S4). There are several round disturbed areas located periodically along this line. Although not terribly clear, this has a similar appearance to a diagram illustrating ‘glim’ runway lights generally employed at dummy airfields (S5).
S. Massey (NMP), 10 January 2007.
