Full Description
Early Norfolk Railway link from Vauxhall to Hall Quay, South Quay and fishmarket (still occasionally in use). At first horse drawn. Also a connection from this via North Quay to the Midland and Great Northern link - this was opened as the Yarmouth Union 1882. Connection closed 1959 and North Quay 1970.
South of Garrison Road the course is obliterated by roadworks; south of Ormond Road trackbed used as garage, but the level crossing gates remain, and north of there the embankment remains.
South of Fishmarket was the Port and Haven Commissioner's 2 foot 6 inch (75cm) line for removing ballast from beach south of peninsula (near North Pier) to a travelling crane at the Ballast Quay. In use 1892 to 1912, rails removed 1927. For plan and further details see (S1).
South Quay line out of use by 1984.

Norfolk Railway link to North, Hall and South Quays 1845 with sidings later. Fish Wharf extension 1866.
Yarmouth Union to Beach station 1882 as stated above.
Extension by Great Eastern Railway south of Fish Wharf 1883, at which date horse traction ceased. Various later siding alterations.
